There are numerous places where students access learning materials and resources online. Below you will find a list of these services. and a short description of what they do or how they work.
Students are provided with a Google Apps account which provides email, Google Drive access, calendar orginzation, access to Google Classroom and more. Login names for these services are the email address for the account firstname.lastname@example.org (where the username is the district login name) which is paired with the user's district password.
Minnesota Career Information System (MCIS) is a service where students can develop career interests, find post high school training programs and colleges, prepare for entrance exams (like ACT and ASVAB). Students are given login information from their school, and this login will remain available to them into adulthood.
Students can find books on the shelves, or electronic books and audio books online through the high school's online catalog. To access online materials and audio books, users may use their district login information.
This is the Forest Lake Area School's Moodle service, which serves as a Learning Management System in use for certain courses. Students log in with their district provided password, but will usually need a registration key to join a specific online course.
This is the portal for students to track their grades, attendance, transcript, health info, and more. Students must obtain a one-time registration code to use this service from Wendy Schroeder in the high school's Administration Office.
This service is for students with teachers that require assignments to be turned in electronically through TurnItIn. Students will need a code and password from their teacher in order to connect with that teacher's TurnItIn submission account. Click here for instructions.
