Message from the Principal

Mr. Caldwell

Welcome to the Forest Lake Area High School At the Forest Lake Area High School students in grades 9-12 receive a comprehensive, dynamic educational experience.  This experience provides students with the background and expertise necessary to enter into a 4-year college or university, 2 year college, military, or other specialized training opportunity with the skills they need to be successful.   Students are able to take courses in 15 different academic departments, and explore any number of career options as they prepare for life beyond high school.  They often outperform their peers on state and national exams.  A highly qualified, experienced, and innovative staff offer courses that can meet the needs of every student. Through our Ranger U program, students are able to choose from over 35 different advanced classes that have the potential of earning college credit. Our fine arts program offers a full complement of orchestral, band, and choral classes for the beginning and the advanced music student. Additionally, we offer a five-year world language program in Spanish, French and Chinese. Students interested in career and technical fields can choose from agriculture, industrial technology, business, family and consumer science, and occupational relations courses. The high school's academic program is augmented by outstanding co-curricular opportunities. Our sports programs are rooted in a tradition of excellence, and our students continue to compete with the best athletes in the state. In addition to our athletic programs, our theater, speech, and debate programs, along with various other clubs and organizations provide an excellent opportunity for students to be involved in areas of interest, and ultimately build their leadership skills.  The Forest Lake Area High School, along with the support of the Forest Lake community, stands ready to challenge and prepare all students as they complete this stage of their educational journey. Go Rangers! Jim Caldwell, Principal
