2022 Inductees

Vanessa Agnes

Vanessa is a 2011 graduate of Forest Lake Area High School and an alumni of the high school’s theater, speech and choir programs. Following high school and college, Vanessa launched a successful career in the theater industry, particularly in roles that allow her to share her love of theater with children. She is currently the Education Program Manager for the Guthrie Theater and is the former Hennepin Theatre Trust Spotlight on Musical Theater Associate Director. She has also served on the Board of Directors at Masquers Community Theater and has worked with Lakeshore Players in White Bear Lake and Children’s Performing Arts (CPA) in Forest Lake.

Deborah Bendix

Deborah was an English Language Arts teacher and speech coach at Forest Lake Area High School in the eighties and nineties. During her tenure as coach, Deborah guided her team to more than 15 section titles and coached several students to the National Speech Tournament level. After her time in Forest Lake, Deborah went on to a 20-year career in St. Cloud, retiring from St. Cloud Apollo High School in 2019.

Dan Cremisino

For 39 years, Dan had a significant impact on students and athletes at Forest Lake Area High School. Dan was a highly successful head basketball coach for 15 years with a record of 221-197. He coached his team to two section championships, one Suburban East Conference Championship, and a state tournament 6th place finish in 2018. He was voted Section Coach of the Year three times and Conference Coach of the Year once. In 2018, Dan was selected as the Minnesota Basketball Coaches Association AAAA Coach of the Year. His team was an eight-time Section Academic Champion and was named the Academic State Champion twice.

Jamie Mueller

Jamie was an exceptional three-sport athlete for Forest Lake Area High School in the 1990’s. She participated in Track and Field, Cross Country and Nordic Skiing and was a 2-time team captain for Nordic Skiing. She competed in Junior Nationals for Nordic Skiing in 1995-96 and was a 1996 state Track and Field meet participant. After high school she competed as a Division 1 Nordic skier at Northern Michigan University. She is one of the top ten 100 and 300 meter hurdle athletes of all time on the Forest Lake Track and Field Honor Roll. Off the field she was a participant in band and National Honor Society and was a Girl Scouts Silver Award winner. Jamie is currently a Major in the United States Army, serving as a physician assistant who has been on several tours of duty in Afghanistan, Kosovo, Korea, Philippines and Okinawa.

Leif Nordgren

Leif is a world-class athlete who began his athletic career at Forest Lake Area High School where he competed in Nordic Skiing between 2004-2007. During his high school career he was a state runner-up, both as an individual and as a team. He has achieved the ultimate goal of many student athletes by participating in the Olympic Games. He is a three-time olympian in Biathlon, participating in the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Winter Games. In 2018, his Olympic relay team finished in 6th place. In 2008 and 2010, he finished in the top ten of the Junior World Championships. He has participated in multiple Biathlon World Championships and finished in the top 10 in the U.S. Biathlon National Championships. 

Cam Stottler

During his time as a student athlete at Forest Lake Area High School, Cam was a Minnesota State Champion in Long Jump. He currently holds one of the school’s longest standing records for long jump, indoor long jump and triple jump. He was a three-time All Conference award winner, and was also an All State award winner. Cam went on to compete in Track and Field for the University of St. Thomas. Cam is currently the Executive Director of North Lakes Academy.
